The first task was preliminary task, this was a short video created from the brief; "a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character with whom he or she exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue." The aim of the task was to introduce us to camera work and editing techniques, where we practised filming the 180 degree rule, shot-reverse-shot and match-on-action, subsequently preparing us for the large production of the opening title sequence.

We shot this task using a Canon Legria, as this was suited to this task because it was only an introduction to camerawork and the certain rules we would need to follow.
