Music video institutions assist in the production and funding for the music artists they have signed. Some of the biggest music video institutions are EMI, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group and Sony Music.

EMI is the world’s leading music company, it has signed many successful recording artists. The institution works in many areas of the music industry, such as distribution, sales, press and promotion, marketing, licensing, brand partnerships, live recordings and merchandising. 
Universal Music Group is the world’s largest music content company which aims to discover and develop recording artists and promote their music across a large number of formats and platforms. 

Sony Music is a well-known music label which has also signed many global superstars. The music label signs many different genres of music like hip-hop, pop, country, classical, gospel and rock. Sony Music owns distribution over music companies such as Columbia Records The most recent movie Sony was involved in was Skyfall in which Adele sang the theme tune.

Warner Music Group owns many well-known record labels such as Asylum, Reprise and Warner Brothers. WMG aims to help upcoming artists achieve long creative success by producing high quality content.
